Earthing also known as grounding is very beneficial to your wellbeing, it not only helps your physical body but helps your emotional and spiritual wellbeing too.

Being earthed is when we have that inner alignment with the earth. We all have a physical body, but we also have an astral body and to be properly earthed or grounded is when our astral body is in alignment with our physical body, as this is what helps align us with the earth.
Have you ever awoken in the morning and still felt tired even if you have had 6 to 8 hours sleep?
The reason behind this is when you are sleeping your astral body goes travelling. So, when you awake, before you physically get out of bed, physically stretch, as this helps to bring your astral body back into your physical body which helps earth you, grounding you. This will help you feel more awake, and enables a better sense of clarity.
Being grounded or earthed is beneficial too for the emotional state of mind. The more grounded you are, the more strength you have within yourself and it enables you to be able to deal with what life throws at you from a point of strength and clarity, and be able to stand firm in your own authority rather than feeling you are swayed by other people’s intentions, view-points or energy.
From a point of view of the spiritual, the more grounded, earthed you are, the higher up in meditation you can go, as you have an anchor point to come back to.
Being grounded, being earthed connects you to the earth, and it enhances your stabilisation. The more you stabilise, ground, earth yourself, the more at one you will be. This also can influence the mindfulness essence of self, and gives you the strength to be in the moment.
Bearing in mind, the moment we are in is what counts. Yesterday has gone and tomorrow is not here. Today is what counts.
Grounding also helps with confidence.
A simple tip for grounding –
1. Take a seat
2. Close your eyes
3. Take your awareness to the soles of your feet
4. Imagine you have roots coming out of each of the soles of your feet
5. Feel/imagine these roots travelling all the way down to the centre of the earth
6. Just imagine these roots like tree roots spreading out giving you that stability
Another great tip for grounding –
1. Take your shoes and socks off
2. Place your feet on the grass
3. Feel that connection with the earth beneath your feet
There are lots of ways to ground/earth yourself. Placing your feet on the grass barefoot is a great one to do with children too, especially if they are a little excitable, as it does offer a sense of calm.
